Responsibilities

  • Manage clinical development portfolio & strategy for the Oncology therapy area
  • Harmonization of training to ensure high standards for medical review as well as quality of medical support for global clinical development trials
  • Provides medical strategic support to Business Development (BD)/Account Management and Operational teams 
  • Address and tackle regional/country-specific medical/regulatory issues for purpose of international projects
  • Oversees all clinical development activities relating to preparation/approval of synopses, protocols and conduct of clinical studies
  • Provide medical expertise and support for clinical development initiative
  • KOL development including providing leadership in meetings and negotiations with regional KOLs and establishing strategy for assigned TA
  • Builds strategic relationships with senior drug development representatives of Sponsors, with external academic experts, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and representatives in professional organizations, such as Regulatory Agencies as required
  • As relevant, prepare medical/protocol considerations for proposals within Oncology
  • Participate in client meetings as Senior Internal Expert, as required and relevant

Requirements

  • Min 10 years experience in international clinical drug development at senior level R&D positions, in both the CRO and Pharmaceutical industry or in a CRO or Pharmaceutical company and academia (a prior academic career with established medico-scientific experience in Oncology)
  • Medically qualified (MD) at an acknowledged Medical School, with Board Certification or equivalent in relevant subspecialty
  • Experience in Oncology related regulatory requirements and guidelines directing drug development
  • Established presentation/teaching skills
