Matthew joined Barrington James in 2011 as a consultant, after a successful period with a well-known high street recruitment company dealing with clerical and administrative staff, mainly on contract or temporary basis in London and Southeast England.
Matthew was first attracted to Barrington James by the challenge of recruiting high profile, business-critical professionals specifically for the Pharmaceutical industry, and the clear career ladder that the company offered to good performers. Indeed, Matthew quickly made use of this career ladder rising to Senior Consultant and Team Sales Manager.
Matthew benefited greatly from the company’s excellent in-house training and mentoring programme to develop his own managerial and coaching skills, enabling him to help turn new employees into successful recruitment professionals.
Matthew now leads a talented team of consultants specialising in the Market Access and Health Economics sector, and working with some of the largest Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices companies all around the world.
The global reach of the Barrington James organisation has enabled Matthew to visit, amongst other places, Washington DC, Madrid, Dublin, New Orleans and Berlin, mostly to take part in industry conferences. However, Matthew’s visits to Dubai and Las Vegas he earned as a reward for qualifying in the company’s high performers competition.
