Neil’s is a typical Barrington James success story. He joined Barrington James in 2009 as a consultant, after 2 year’s solid experience in IT recruitment. He is now a member of the senior management team, and a shareholder in the company he works for.
The recipe for success
Neil attributes his achievement to ‘ really hard work, taking on board the truly excellent training the company provides and so immersing myself in my market sector (Medical) that I became an expert’.
In this way Neil progressed first to senior consultant, and then to his present position as sales manager working in EMEA markets.
Confident in future prospects
As a member of the senior management Team Neil is already a shareholder in Barrington James, and confidently expects to build his stake in the future. As he says ‘Allocations are made on the basis of my individual performance, my team’s collective performance, and the company’s results as a whole. Given what we have achieved this year I am more than confident.’
The best thing about working here?
In Neil’s words ‘the best thing about working for BJ is the culture of rewarding success. Of course the financial rewards are exceptional, and the share-owning plan is unique. But the other incentives are fun.I have had the pleasure of arranging and attending numerous Team incentives, Directors’ lunches and extra holiday days but my proudest achievement to date is qualifying for the ‘High Roller’s club in Dubai in 2012’.
