Position Overview
A leading global medical device manufacturer is seeking a Senior Manager, Commercial Capital Equipment (APAC) to drive regional execution of its capital equipment strategy across Asia-Pacific markets through cross-functional collaboration and influence.
This role aligns global commercial strategy with local execution by delivering critical tools, data, and operational support. While local country commercial leaders retain direct P&L ownership, this position holds shadow P&L responsibility to ensure performance visibility, commercial consistency, and strategic accountability across the region.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Execution: Lead the execution of the APAC Capital Equipment commercial strategy, aligning global objectives with local market plans, timelines, and milestones.

Financial Oversight: Own and track the regional shadow P&L for capital equipment, identifying drivers for growth, margin expansion, and commercial opportunities across divisions and markets.

Market Support: Collaborate closely with country commercial leaders, supporting local execution through specialized enablement tools, performance KPIs, and strategic guidance.

Global-Local Liaison: Act as the bridge between global leadership and local market teams to effectively cascade and adapt messaging, pricing strategies, and commercial priorities.

Team Leadership: Develop and manage a regional team responsible for sales enablement, product support, and executional consistency, including direct leadership of specialized service and product sales specialists.

Cross-Functional Engagement: Partner with Commercial Operations, Technical Services, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and Global Product Teams to drive commercial performance across pricing, contracting, and service program design.

Product Launches & Planning: Provide commercial input into new product launches, pricing frameworks, service programs, and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) preparation.

Performance & Reporting: Track and report performance metrics to local, regional, and global stakeholders to drive visibility and data-backed decision-making.
Requirements

Experience: 10–15+ years of commercial leadership, sales, or marketing experience within the medical device or healthcare sector.

Industry Expertise: Background in Capital Equipment, Healthcare Services, or related medical technologies is highly preferred.

Matrix Leadership: Proven track record of delivering results through influence within complex, matrixed, multi-cultural environments.

Financial Acumen: Strong business acumen and analytical capabilities with direct P&L awareness.

Communications: Excellent executive presence, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.

Education: Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

Work Authorization: Must be currently based in Japan or possess valid local work authorization.
