Are you an experienced in vivo pharmacologist looking to take ownership of impactful drug discovery programmes?

We’re working with a leading scientific organisation seeking an Associate Principal Scientist to join their growing In Vivo Pharmacology team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in advancing novel therapeutics, working across a diverse portfolio of biotech and pharma programmes.

Unlike traditional roles focused on a single pipeline, you’ll have the opportunity to lead multiple innovative projects, influence experimental strategy, and apply your expertise to support the progression of potential life-changing medicines.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the design, execution, and interpretation of complex in vivo pharmacology studies
• Provide scientific leadership across drug discovery programmes
• Act as a project lead, coordinating teams to deliver high-quality outcomes
• Design and optimise experimental strategies to address complex research questions
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive programme success
• Support and mentor junior scientists within the team

We’re looking for someone with:

• Strong experience in in vivo pharmacology within drug discovery
• Expertise in kidney disease, metabolic disease and/or inflammation models
• Experience designing studies, interpreting data, and influencing scientific strategy
• Knowledge of end-to-end drug discovery workflows
• Strong understanding of UK regulations relating to in vivo research
• Excellent communication and project management skills
