An innovative deep-tech company operating at the intersection of artificial intelligence, photonics, and advanced computing is seeking a Business Development Manager to support its next phase of commercial growth. This role will focus on identifying strategic opportunities, building high-value partnerships, and driving revenue across industrial, enterprise, and research markets.

You will work closely with technical leadership, product, and executive teams to translate cutting-edge technology into real-world commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities across target markets and verticals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with enterprise customers, strategic partners, and ecosystem stakeholders
  • Lead early-stage commercial discussions, including needs analysis, solution positioning, and value proposition development
  • Own and manage the sales pipeline from lead generation through to contract negotiation and closing
  • Collaborate closely with technical and product teams to align customer requirements with product roadmaps
  • Support go-to-market strategy development, including pricing, market entry, and partner strategy
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings in Germany and internationally
  • Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to inform strategic decision-making

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships within a deep-tech, AI, semiconductor, photonics, or advanced hardware/software environment
  • Proven track record of developing and closing B2B opportunities, ideally with enterprise or industrial clients
  • Strong understanding of complex technical products and ability to communicate value to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working in startup or scale-up environments is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Fluent in English; German proficiency is a strong advantage
