Position Overview

The Robotic Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales of a robotic surgical platform within an assigned territory

This role focuses on developing new hospital accounts, expanding existing relationships, and establishing a minimally invasive robotic therapy as a preferred treatment option

The position requires a highly motivated sales professional with strong solution-selling capabilities, the ability to influence clinical and administrative stakeholders, and a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

This role balances tactical execution with strategic decision-making and works closely with clinical, administrative, and internal cross-functional partners to achieve commercial objectives
 

Key Responsibilities

Sales Execution and Territory Management

  • Meet or exceed quarterly sales targets within the assigned territory

  • Partner with sales leadership to develop and execute territory-specific sales plans

  • Manage complex capital equipment sales cycles with new and existing hospital customers

  • Identify target institutions, build market awareness, and drive adoption within the territory

  • Provide accurate monthly sales forecasts and maintain pipeline visibility

Customer Engagement and Relationship Development

  • Build strong relationships with surgeons, hospital administrators, and executive leadership

  • Develop clinical and administrative support through presentations, meetings, and marketing events

  • Establish initial engagement with senior hospital decision-makers, including executive leadership

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers and clinical opinion leaders

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with sales management and marketing teams to prioritize key accounts and strategic initiatives

  • Coordinate with customer service and support teams to ensure high customer satisfaction

  • Support the transition from initial capital sale to downstream procedural growth teams

Reporting, Compliance, and Professional Standards

  • Maintain accurate customer and account records in the CRM system

  • Complete all required sales reporting in a timely and accurate manner

  • Support the resolution of product-related issues, complaints, or safety concerns

  • Comply with all applicable regulatory, quality, and ethical requirements related to healthcare sales

  • Maintain professional credentials and hospital access requirements

  • Manage travel and expenses in accordance with approved budgets


Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of five years of experience in medical device sales, including capital equipment sales in operating room environments

  • Experience selling innovative or disruptive surgical technologies, preferably in a growth or start-up environment

  • Established relationships within the healthcare community in the assigned geographic area

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel extensively, up to approximately 75%

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
