The Role

An opportunity is available for an experienced Market Access Director to lead strategic consulting projects supporting pharmaceutical and biotech clients across Europe. This leadership role focuses on developing and delivering Market Access and Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) strategies that help innovative therapies achieve successful pricing, reimbursement, and payer adoption.

The Director will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to design access strategies across therapeutic areas such as oncology, advanced therapies, and rare diseases. The role combines strategic advisory responsibilities with commercial leadership, contributing to the growth of market access consulting services and client partnerships.

This position is ideal for a strategic and commercially minded leader who can guide complex access programs while supporting business development and long-term client relationships.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of Market Access and HEOR strategies for pharmaceutical and biotech clients, including evidence generation, value communication, and pricing approaches.

  • Support clients in navigating Health Technology Assessment (HTA) requirements and reimbursement processes across European markets.

  • Drive business development activities, securing new consulting projects and expanding client relationships.

  • Manage key client accounts and forecast new business opportunities while supporting long-term partnership strategies.

  • Provide strategic guidance on commercialisation planning, including transition from clinical development and early access programs to full market launch.

  • Lead projects from initial scoping through delivery, including proposal development, contracts, and project management.

  • Support the development of internal expertise in HEOR, value propositions, HTA dossiers, and health economic modelling.

  • Conduct market and competitor assessments to inform pricing and reimbursement strategies.

  • Manage budgets, forecasting, and vendor relationships to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across regulatory, clinical, and commercial functions.

Experience Required

  • Degree in a scientific, healthcare, or business discipline; an MSc in Health Economics or Health Policy is advantageous.

  • Leadership experience within Market Access or HEOR teams in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or consulting sector.

  • Experience working with specialised therapies such as oncology, cell and gene therapies, or rare diseases.

  • Strong understanding of European pricing, reimbursement, and HTA environments.

  • Experience managing client contracts, vendors, and consulting projects.

  • Demonstrated expertise in product lifecycle management and commercialisation strategy.

  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and business performance metrics.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to lead teams and build long-term client relationships.
