A global organization operating within the life sciences space is seeking a Freelance Project Manager to support the delivery of post-marketing studies and patient access programs. This role is critical in ensuring continuity of patient treatment following clinical trial completion and requires a proactive, hands-on professional who can operate effectively in a dynamic and evolving environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the setup, execution, and ongoing management of global post-marketing initiatives, including:
    • Post-Trial Access Programs (PTAs)
    • Named Patient Programs (NPPs)
    • Observational and low-interventional studies
    • Investigator Initiated Trials (IITs)
  • Ensure uninterrupted patient access to therapy following clinical trial completion
  • Take full ownership of project budgets, including planning, tracking, and financial reporting
  • Oversee and manage external vendors, ensuring delivery against scope, timelines, and quality expectations
  • Work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders across multiple regions
  • Establish and maintain operational processes in environments that may be less structured or rapidly evolving
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful program outcomes
  • Provide clear and consistent project updates to key stakeholders

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in project management within clinical research, post-marketing programs, or patient access initiatives
  • Hands-on experience managing global programs such as PTAs, NPPs, observational studies, and/or IITs
  • Strong vendor management and oversight capabilities
  • Proven experience with full budget accountability
  • Good understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to post-marketing and access programs
  • Ability to work independently and drive initiatives with minimal oversight

Experience

  • Ideally 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Open to high-potential candidates with slightly less experience who demonstrate strong capability and drive
