Position Overview
This role is responsible for the strategic management and market execution of assigned neurosurgical product portfolios within a defined region. The position focuses on planning and delivering product launch and growth initiatives while translating marketing strategy into effective field-level execution across hospital and surgical environments.
As part of the field-facing marketing function, the role plays a critical part in communicating clinical and technical value to both healthcare professionals and the sales organization, ensuring consistent, accurate, and impactful messaging throughout the territory.
Core Responsibilities
Product & Market Strategy

Develop and execute commercialization and lifecycle strategies for assigned neurosurgical solutions

Define target customer segments, including surgeons, operating room staff, and hospital stakeholders

Analyze market dynamics, procedural trends, and competitive activity to refine positioning and strategy

Continuously enhance market intelligence related to neurosurgical techniques and technology adoption
Field Marketing & Sales Enablement

Translate product strategy into clear, effective field messaging for customers and sales teams

Design and deliver product training programs to strengthen clinical understanding and selling effectiveness

Provide field support through operating room observations, demonstrations, and customer engagements

Support sales teams by improving technical and procedural knowledge related to neurosurgical products
Customer & Clinical Engagement

Build and maintain strong relationships with neurosurgeons and clinical stakeholders

Identify and support key opinion leaders and manage ongoing collaboration and communication

Organize and conduct educational programs, workshops, and clinical presentations

Participate in customer visits, procedural support activities, and clinical evaluations as required
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with regional and global marketing partners to align strategy and share market insights

Work closely with regulatory and quality functions to support registration and compliance documentation

Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to support inventory planning and product availability
Operational & Financial Management

Manage budgets related to marketing initiatives, events, and promotional activities

Track performance and effectiveness of marketing programs and recommend improvements

Support the development, maintenance, and adherence to internal quality systems and processes
Leadership & Professional Development

Contribute to talent development through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing

Promote ethical conduct and compliance with internal standards and policies

Continuously build expertise in neurosurgical procedures, technologies, and market trends
Qualifications & Experience
Required

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification
-
Minimum of 3 years of experience in product management or marketing within the medical device or healthcare industry

Experience supporting complex, procedure-driven or capital-intensive medical products
-
Fluency in Japanese (written and spoken) and business-level English

Proficiency with standard office software and data management tools

Strong communication, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred

Experience in neurosurgery, spine surgery, or related surgical specialties

Experience supporting field sales teams in operating room environments
