Associate Director, Business Development (APAC)

Are you a commercially driven Business Development leader with a passion for shaping growth strategy across Asia Pacific? This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving regional expansion through high-impact partnerships, licensing, and strategic deals within a dynamic biopharmaceutical environment.

We are partnering with a leading organisation seeking an Associate Director, Business Development to lead and execute deal-making activities across APAC. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, with direct exposure to senior leadership and regional decision-making.

The Role

You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic opportunities across the region, including:

  • In-licensing, out-licensing, and M&A activities
  • Sourcing and assessing partnership opportunities across Pharma and OTC portfolios
  • Leading end-to-end BD evaluations, including financial modelling and risk assessment
  • Building robust business cases to support investment decisions
  • Driving alliance management and ensuring long-term partnership success
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with Commercial, Medical, Regulatory, and Market Access teams across APAC

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience within the biopharmaceutical industry
  • Background in Business Development, Strategy, Portfolio, Strategic Marketing, Business Intelligence, or Analytics
  • Proven track record in deal sourcing, evaluation, and execution across APAC
  • Strong experience in in-licensing, acquisitions, and partnership development
  • Demonstrated ability in business case development and strategic planning
  • Experience in Pharma and/or OTC markets is highly advantageous
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior levels
