Safety Translational Scientist

Are you passionate about translating science into safe and effective therapies? We are seeking a talented Safety Translational Scientist to join a dynamic and growing team based in the heart of Europe’s leading life sciences hub, Basel.

In this role, you will play a critical part in bridging preclinical and clinical development, providing strategic safety insights that support decision-making across drug development programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead translational safety strategies from discovery through early clinical development
• Interpret and integrate preclinical safety data to inform clinical risk assessment
• Collaborate cross-functionally with toxicology, clinical, and regulatory teams
• Support regulatory submissions with clear, science-driven safety narratives
• Contribute to innovative approaches in predictive safety and translational science

Requirements:

• PhD (or equivalent) in Toxicology, Pharmacology, or a related discipline
• Proven experience in translational safety within pharma or biotech
• Strong understanding of nonclinical and clinical safety assessment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
• Experience working in cross-functional, international teams
