Position Overview

The Sales Training Manager is responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive sales training strategies and programs to enhance the performance and effectiveness of the sales organization. This role plays a critical part in ensuring sales professionals are equipped with the skills, tools, and processes required to deliver customer value and achieve business objectives.

The position requires close collaboration with sales leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to align training initiatives with sales strategy and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Performance Analysis

  • Analyze sales representative and sales manager performance to identify skill gaps, development needs, and improvement opportunities

  • Use performance data to inform training priorities and program design

Sales Training Strategy and Execution

  • Plan, develop, and implement sales training programs aligned with overall sales strategy and revenue objectives

  • Design and deliver tailored training programs based on varying experience and competency levels of sales representatives and managers

  • Take end-to-end ownership of sales training initiatives, from needs assessment through execution and follow-up

Program Effectiveness and Reporting

  • Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs using quantitative and qualitative metrics

  • Develop and deliver regular performance and impact reports to stakeholders, with clear recommendations for continuous improvement

Sales Tools and Technology Utilization

  • Maximize operational efficiency by effectively leveraging sales enablement tools and systems

  • Utilize CRM platforms and sales support technologies to track performance, analyze trends, and drive actionable insights

Industry Best Practices

  • Stay current on industry trends, sales methodologies, and best practices within the medical and healthcare sector

  • Incorporate relevant external insights and best practices into training content and program design

Qualifications and Experience

Required Experience

  • Minimum of five years of experience planning and delivering sales training programs within a medical-related manufacturing environment

  • At least three years of direct sales experience within a medical-related manufacturer

  • Proven ability to independently manage and complete comprehensive sales training programs

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, extract insights, and translate findings into actionable training plans

  • Hands-on experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce or equivalent platforms

Education and Language

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Business-level English communication skills required
