Senior Medical Director - Oncology

About the Role

This is a strategic, senior-level physician-scientist role, owning late-stage oncology development programs end-to-end — from clinical strategy through regulatory submission. The team needs someone who can set direction, lead cross-functional teams, and engage Health Authorities with confidence not a pure study executor. Late-stage (Phase 2/3) program leadership is the top priority for this opening.

What You'll Do

• Own a Clinical Development Plan (CDP) as the responsible clinical lead for a program — not just execute studies
• Lead or support studies across the full Phase 1–3 development continuum, with a focus on late-stage programs
• Prepare for and present to Health Authorities (FDA/EMA)
• Coordinate resources and provide strategic direction across a program, including managing junior team members
• Interpret and apply translational/biomarker data to development decisions
• Mentor junior Medical Directors and help shape team culture

What You'll Bring

• MD required (Mandatory) 
• Strong oncology expertise, ideally solid tumors; hematology a plus
• Minimum 5 years' industry clinical R&D experience at pharma/biotech
• Experience leading or supporting studies across the full Phase 1–3 continuum
• Demonstrated contribution to registration-enabling activities and Health Authority interactions
• Ability to work across global, matrixed teams
• ICH-GCP/FDA/EMA regulatory fluency
• End-to-end development experience in a big biotech / big pharma environment
