We are seeking an experienced Senior Safety Pharmacology Scientist (Cardiovascular) to join a growing research team in Allschwil. This is a high-impact role for a scientist who combines deep cardiovascular expertise with a passion for translational science and innovative safety assessment strategies.
You will lead and shape cardiovascular safety pharmacology programs across discovery and development, ensuring robust, science-driven decision-making that supports the progression of safe and effective therapeutics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, oversee, and interpret cardiovascular safety pharmacology studies (in vitro and in vivo)
  • Act as a subject-matter expert for cardiac electrophysiology, hemodynamics, and proarrhythmia risk
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with toxicology, clinical pharmacology, and project teams
  • Contribute to regulatory submissions and interact with global health authorities
  • Drive innovation in predictive and translational safety models (e.g., CiPA, biomarkers, integrated risk assessment)
  • Mentor junior scientists and foster scientific excellence within the team

What you'll need:

  • PhD (or equivalent) in pharmacology, physiology, or a related discipline
  • Significant industry experience in safety pharmacology with a cardiovascular focus
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory guidelines (e.g., ICH S7A/S7B)
  • Proven track record in study design, data interpretation, and project leadership
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams
