(UK) Associate Medical Director – Endocrinology

Role: Associate Medical Director

I am looking to place a prospective Associate Medical Director with endocrinology expertise to provide senior medical leadership across UK-based clinical trials. This role is suitable for an experienced Principal Investigator or NHS Consultant Endocrinologist looking to step beyond site delivery into broader medical oversight while remaining clinically active, or ideally, a preexisting Associate Medical Director.

Key responsibilities:
• Medical leadership across Phase I–III endocrinology trials including mainly diabetes, obesity, and metabolic disease
• Oversight and support of UK Principal Investigators and site medical teams
• Medical input into protocol design, feasibility, and indication strategy
• Ongoing safety oversight including AE/SAE review and risk mitigation
• Lead UK-facing interactions with sponsors, CROs, MHRA, and Ethics Committees
• Support study start-up, recruitment strategy, and trial execution
• Participate in data review, DSMB input, and clinical study reports

Candidate profile:
• GMC-registered physician with endocrinology or metabolic disease background
• Active or recent experience as Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator
• Strong working knowledge of ICH GCP and UK regulatory frameworks
• Experience in early and/or late-phase clinical trials
• Credible communicator with investigators, sponsors, and regulators
