An established preclinical research organisation is seeking a Veterinarian to support innovative drug discovery and development programmes across a range of therapeutic areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinary professional who is passionate about animal welfare, translational science, and contributing to the development of novel medicines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide veterinary oversight and clinical care for research animals.

  • Monitor animal health and welfare, implementing preventative and corrective care programmes where required.

  • Support the conduct of in vivo pharmacology, toxicology, and translational research studies.

  • Collaborate with scientists, study directors, and animal care teams to ensure successful study execution.

  • Review protocols and provide veterinary input on study design and animal welfare considerations.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant animal welfare legislation, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Participate in inspections, audits, and internal quality initiatives.

  • Deliver training and guidance to research and animal care personnel.

Requirements
  • Veterinary degree (DVM, DMV, MRCVS, or equivalent).

  • Eligibility to practise veterinary medicine within the European Union.

  • Strong interest in biomedical research, laboratory animal science, or translational medicine.

  • Understanding of laboratory animal welfare regulations and ethical review processes.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary scientific environment.

  • Fluency in English; French language skills would be advantageous.
