VP of Translational R&D

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s translational research strategy
• Lead integration of preclinical, biomarker, and early clinical efforts
• Guide programs from target validation to proof-of-concept studies
• Collaborate with R&D, clinical, regulatory, and commercial teams
• Build and mentor high-performing scientific teams
• Identify external partnerships and academic collaborations
• Present program updates to executive leadership and board

Requirements

• PhD, MD, or equivalent in a relevant life sciences field
• 10+ years in biotech/pharma, with translational research leadership experience
• Proven track record advancing programs into the clinic
• Strong understanding of biomarkers, disease models, and clinical strategy
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred:

• Experience in oncology, rare diseases, or gene therapy
• Prior executive-level leadership experience
• Established network in academia and industry
