Barrington James Appoints Alex Smith as Independent Director

London, UK — Barrington James is delighted to announce the appointment of Alex Smith as an Independent Director on its Board. Alex brings over two decades of senior leadership experience, having served as Chief Financial Officer of SThree plc for thirteen years, followed by a series of Non-Executive Director roles across private equity–backed recruitment and headhunting firms.

In his new role, Alex will support Barrington James as it continues its growth trajectory, with a particular focus on helping executives define and deliver on the company’s strategic ambitions. He will also collaborate closely with CFO Graeme Whillis to further develop the firm’s financial planning and analysis (FP&A) capabilities, strengthening finance as a forward-looking, strategic function.
